Job Description

Business Development Representative - UK & NordicsSunbury-on-Thames / Nordics£32K-£38K + Benefits + Bonus Full-time/PermanentKerr operating as an employment business working on behalf of our client- an internationally IT company. Our client is seeking to appoint a Business Development Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing sales at key retailers and e-tailers, helping with customer visits, presentations, product forecasting, promotions and analysis, stock & sales analysis, retail store visits, product training, events etc.Working hours: 8.30-17.30 Mon-Thurs and 8.30-15.30 on FridaysKey Tasks:

  • Developing business with existing customers, support the BDM efforts, conduct customer business reviews (where required), make recommendations to management for business, process and procedure development
  • Assisting in the overall sales activities in the UK & Nordic regions
  • Managing a set of specific accounts in the region; activities include growing revenue, listing products, coordinating activities and supporting brand visibility
  • Visiting and developing selected distributors and retailers
  • Maintaining communication with relevant stakeholders and local teams
  • Managing account planning for each of the assigned accounts with revenue, units, ranging, relationship and investment goals.
  • Following market and industry news, competitor activities, social media and influencers
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of our products and our competitors, features, benefits and prices. Be aware of any competitor promotional activities.
  • Following up on any sales opportunities identified by the internal sales team and the marketing team.
  • Working closely with the channel marketeer to design and implement marketing plans
  • Understanding competitors and identifying and take advantage of any business opportunities.
  • Escalating to management as needed for decisions and guidance.
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Travelling in assigned regions (DK, FI, NO, SE) and occasionally to the USA; to visit customers, retail stores, attend events or trade shows and other company meetings as needed
  • Ideal candidate would have:
  • Bachelors degree in business or similar field
  • Fully Fluent in English
  • Swedish, Norwegian or Danish to business standard would be desirable
  • Solid experience within a commercial environment is essential, together with a proven track record in sales / account management
  • The candidate should be customer focused, have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to use independent judgment
  • Ability to prioritise their own workload, be able to co-operate with others in a close team environment, be numerate and be able to use independent judgment
