Mechanical Design Engineer (solid works)Eye,Job Title: Draughtsman / Design DraughtsmanDepartment: Design OfficeReports to: Design Office ManagerROLE: To carry out a hands-on draughting/drawing role as described below. (Those with mechanical design experience could have additional design responsibilities)PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: ( Responsibilities & Tasks )Draughtsman roleTo produce a set of working detail and assembly drawings to meet the design brief in line with the technical specification in a timely and efficient manner.Liaise with internal design team to discuss technical issues.Liaise with sales & operations to ensure designs meet customer expectations and specification.Liaise with Purchasing to procure parts.Preparation of contract documentation, Drawings, BOM, CE documents, O&M manuals..Additional Design Responsibilities (dependent on experience)Liaise with Customers / Suppliers to discuss technical issues.Liaise with Production to provide detailed instructions and to discuss technical issues during the buildDesign within current H&S guidelines & customer specific health & safety requirements.Assist troubleshoot production problemsAttend customers site as required for site surveys or trouble shooting, installations. This can involve weekend & or other unsociable times.Specific training requirements:Food industry standards - ongoing as part of design reviews.EN1090 structural standards (where applicable).PERSON SPECIFICATIONQualifications
