Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant, plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service.This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but were looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. What its like to work here Melford Hall is a surprising Country House. Set on the village green in Long Melford, it has a fascinating history ranging from Medieval Monastic Estate to a still lived in family home. The stories it shares with us are of changingtastes, survival against adversity, naval adventures on the high seas and family life.Reporting to the Welcome Manager youll be part of a small team of paid staff and will also work alongside a team of volunteers at various visitor welcome points spanning from the car park to the impressive Great Hall. What youll be doing As a Welcome & Service Assistant youll be an important member of the Melford Hall Visitor Welcome team which is integral to the delivery of the visitor experience, setting them up for an amazing experience. Youll provide a fantastic welcome to visitors to the property, will assist with car parking, sell admission tickets and promote NT membership. Youll also help to increase income from fundraising in the second-hand bookshop.Youll answer questions and make sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is important. Working with our spirit of place, youll work with the visitor welcome team to link everythingwe do back to our cause and the ongoing work we do.Youll achieve a good standard of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
