Development Control Highways Engineer who is experienced in processing highways planning applications, with excellent numerical skills and ability to prepare Bills of Quantities and undertake site measurements is required for a well-establishedorganisation based in Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands.1 x Permanent Position and 1 x Fixed Term Contract availableSALARY: £34,834 - £36,648 per annum (pro rata for contract position) + BenefitsLOCATION: Oakham, Rutland, East MidlandsJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week - flexible and agile working with willingness to be part of a standby on-call emergency rotaJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Development Control Highways Engineerwho is experienced in processing highways planning applications, with excellent numerical skills and ability to prepare Bills of Quantities and undertake site measurements.Working as a Development Control Highways Engineer you will advise on the Highway and Transportation requirements with respect to planning applications and developer’s proposals. This will include the preparation of Section 38/106/278 Agreements and supervisionand monitoring of construction works undertaken in accordance with those Agreements.As the Development Control Highways Engineer you will be involved with the development, design and implementation of small works and safety improvement schemes.As an integral member of the team, the Development Control Highways Engineer will be required to work as part of a standby rota responding to emergencies, attending public meetings and assisting the team with other queries associated with highways.
