Job Description

Philips has recently acquired Carestream Health Company. This gave us the opportunity to combine Carestream market-leading PACS suite of applications with our broader Philips solutions. Together we will be able to deliver informatics knowledge and strong technology capabilities while building upon a complementary geographic footprint.We currently have an exciting opening for Technical Implementation Specialist (TIS) HCIS to join our remote-based team and to cover Scotland territory.As Technical Implementation Specialist (TIS), you will have the opportunity to implement Philips’ Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) solutions: Philips’ Radiology Information System (RIS), Pictures Archiving & Communications Systems (PACS) and third-party system integrations.Please note that the in this role you will have the option to work from home 50% of the time. Furthermore, Philips University is available to all employees for learning and development opportunities.It’s required for the candidate to have a logical problem-solving approach and a strong willingness to learning new IT technologies in a continual improvement process of professional skills.The role requires capacity to travel, to work autonomously and if it’s required extended hours support to installed base.TIS main area of responsibilities:Implementation activities:

  • Deliver a controlled implementation of assigned HCIS projects with highest Philips quality standards.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance on software and hardware upgrades to Project Managers, Applications team, Incident Support team, Customers and Sales as required or directed.
  • Local responsibility for the technical components of assigned HCIS project installations, upgrades and planned maintenance from start to completion.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical and application skills.
  • Work with the Research & Development teams to improve the solutionCustomer Focused activities
  • Improve Customer satisfaction providing valuable solutions with highest Philips quality standards
  • Gain knowledge and familiarity with customers and their environments within the assigned geography (current operations and workflow, desired operations and workflow, etc.)
  • Team working Activities
  • During the implementation phase, liaise with Project Managers, Customers, technical teams, applications consultants, 3rd party suppliers in order to facilitate the delivery and related scheduling.
  • Meet with HCIS services and sales teams as required to provide customer feedback, assist with project plans and align schedules.
  • To succeed in this role, would be a benefit to have experience in the following area:
  • Database administration, backups and recovery, tuning.
  • Structure Query Language (PL/SQL developer, SQLPlus).
  • Microsoft 2012/2016/2019 Server.
  • Hyper-V technologies
  • IT related medical standards: e.g. DICOM, Health Level Seven (HL7), and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE).
  • Excellent communication skills with strong oral and written English-language knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a production environment against prescribed SLA’s.
  • Capacity to travel extensively.
  • Experience of the workflow within a radiology department
