Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team here in Bellshill and join the largest independent contract sterilisation supplier in the United Kingdom on a permanent basis.As a Facilities Engineer you will be responsible for the general maintenance of the site by attending and fault-finding at breakdowns as well as carrying out any repairs and the execution of general maintenance work at the Bellshill site.Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday; however, the occasional need may arise where weekend work or out of normal working hours may be necessary, though this will be agreed in advance, this position also has a generous 33 day per year holiday entitlement, Salary will be between £28,000 / 35,000 dependent on experience.

  • Formal qualification in engineering is a MUST, ideally mechanical but electrical and multi-skilled engineers also considered.
  • Must have previous experience in maintenance of site services and facilities.
  • Experienced with steam and boiler systems is a requirement ideally a formal qualification in this area such as BG01 certification.
  • To develop and deliver maintenance plans for a wide range of services equipment including: Steam boilers, Air compressors, Hot water systems, Heat exchangers, Heating Systems, Lighting Systems, Drainage etc.
  • Basic PLC knowledge preferred.
  • Identify the most effective means of delivering maintenance (internal resource vs contract)
  • Maintain records of inspections and service to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Co-ordinating tasks in support of the maintenance and repair of site services plant & equipment.
  • Rapidly diagnose and resolve reactive faults.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload with excellent attention to detail
  • Candidates would ideally have previous experience gained worked in highly regulated manufacturing environment
