Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer required for our client, who deliver energy efficiency, carbon management and cost reduction solutions to some of the most recognised brands in the country.They offer the opportunity to work in a technical role for a market-leading award-winning consultancy.In this role the successful Senior Electrical Engineer would be working as part of the electrical design team to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction.Senior Electrical Engineer Position Overview

  • Design, specifications and construction stage project management of electrical projects (all aspects of Electrical Services), this will include all RIBA stages.
  • Run and lead their own projects. This will be multiple projects at any one time.
  • Ensuring all projects are designed and implemented to meet British Standards and other appropriate legislation.
  • Electrical Services Feasibility Study and Energy Efficiency Reports.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Attend regular Design Department meetings where workload schedules will be planned.
  • Develop good relationships with each team member.
  • Assist with implementing QA procedures for all projects.
  • Become a Team Leader whom Junior and Graduate Engineers would report to. Help develop and train Junior and Graduate Engineers as required.
  • Assist The Design Manager with the implementation of the Design strategy.
Senior Electrical Engineer Position Requirements
  • Ideally at least 15 years Design experience having worked up the Engineer levels to Senior Engineer.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering, engineering consultancy and/or mechanical installations
  • Experience in design calculation software packages: AutoCAD, Dialux and Hevacomp (for example)
  • Good working knowledge of industry regulations, mechanical design and installations
  • Good working knowledge of utility services both new connections and disconnections
  • Able manage/prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining good communication with client and design teams
  • Professionally qualified to at least Higher National Certificate Level.
  • Ideally professionally registered with CIBSE and/or IET.
Senior Electrical Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Location: Brierley Hill, West Midlands
  • Working hours: 40 hours 08:30-05:30 (1 hour lunch)
  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
