Job Description

RM Recruit are excited to be working with a brilliant, not-for-profit organisation based in Birmingham who are on the lookout for a bright, well-articulated Sales Ledger Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is able tooffer a flexible, hybrid/remote working arrangement which involves one day working from their Stourbridge office per week.You will report directly to the Finance Manager & Finance Director and manage the full accounts receivable function including raising invoices and managing aged creditor reports.Duties of the role consist of:

  • Generate and issue accurate and timely invoices to customers
  • Ensure that all supporting documentation is complete and attached to invoices
  • Maintain the sales ledger by recording all sales transactions promptly and accurately
  • Managing the aged creditors report
  • Monitor and record customer payments in the system
  • Follow up on overdue payments and try to resolve payment issues
  • Respond to customer enquiries regarding invoices and payment status
  • Build and maintain positive relationships to facilitate smooth payment processes
  • Keep accounting system up to date by posting all entries accurately
  • Oversee and manage accounts inbox queries
  • Assist the wider finance team as and when required
As the ideal candidate, you will possess prior experience in the housing sector with extensive expertise in accounts receivable. You will be a part AAT qualified or qualified by experience candidate with a strong work ethic and the ability manage workloadeffectively. Strong interpersonal skills are highly advantageous for this role as you will be liaising with clients on a day-to-day basis.
