Job Description

Finance Administrator / BookkeeperA Finance Administrator opportunity has arisen with an established and successful distributor based in Stourbridge, West Midlands.We are looking for a Finance / Accountancy / Bookkeeping professional with proficient pc skills and experience of SAGE 50 who seeks a stable role within which to develop their career.This role will be varied and offers a friendly team environment. The company has just invested in, and is about to move into, a modern and impressive office that has been bespoke refurbished for the business.The role has become vacant due to the impending retirement of a longstanding employee and you will report and work closely with the MD, whilst also liaising with the Companies external Accountant.Qualified to either AAT Final level, or hold an Accountancy or Finance Degree. 3-5+ years experience would be ideal, as would good Maths and English and the ability to use initiative.Office based in Stourbridge - Commutable fromKingswinford, Brierley Hill, Dudley, Halesowen, Quinton, Oldbury, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Bromsgrove£27k-£30k + generous holiday entitlement (including Christmas shutdown) + pension + training The Role

  • Record financial transactions and process sales invoices.
  • Bank reconciliation, and customer accounts and stock reconciliation.
  • Year-end reporting.
  • Assist with accounts processing & monthly Management Accounts Reports.
  • Checking of purchase invoices against purchase orders.
  • Complete cashflow forecasting.
  • Credit control.
  • Assist with cost of sales analysis.
  • Oversee tax and VAT records and reports.
  • Liaise with external contractors regarding payment queries.
  • Process expenses.
  • Schedule invoices for payment and instigate payment runs.
  • Monitor foreign currencies.
  • Assist with updating supplier price lists.
  • Assist with new customer account opening.
  • Assist with price calculations.
  • Take ownership of pricing and purchasing activity, using Microsoft Excel.
  • Manage stock levels through analysis and the monitoring of customer buying patterns.
The Candidate
