Bathroom Installer / Installations ManagerStourbridge30-45K depending upon experienceJob SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for experienced Bathroom Installer who is considering a move to management. Joining a growing company offering real day-to-day variety as well as a stable job opportunity for years to come.In addition to carrying out some installations, the successful candidate will also be responsible for project management of other contractors projects. With roughly a 50/50 split between being on the tools’ to coordinating stock and materials for other projects. They put their customers first, ensuring peace of mind as standard.Key ResponsibilitiesTo manage the installation of mobility bathrooms in a residential environment from sales handover to completion in full.Ability to be self-sufficient and work either independently or with other external contractorsTo ensure that the customer receives a frictionless experience.Liaising with the sales surveyors, customers, suppliers, management and other trades. While building and maintaining strong relationships.To ensure the delivery of a high standard of workmanship and careful attention to detail.Day to day activities (management)

  • Accepting new project contracts
  • Close working partnership with sales surveyors
  • Finalising layout / floor plans
  • Pre-fit customer site visits when necessary
  • Scheduling & Ordering
  • Contractor Management
  • Arranging Stock Collections / Deliveries
  • Works in progress problem solving
  • Customer sign off / booking waste collections
  • Day to day activities (practical)
  • Ability to isolate & remove existing domestic bathrooms, widen doorway into brick or stud walls, fit door linings, hang or rehang doors
  • Fit a level access shower tray in concrete or timber floor including ability to noggin between joists to suit tray size.
  • Fit Walk-in baths.
  • Prepare for other trades such as plasterer, electrician & floor layer.
  • Fit pump (training can be provided)
  • First & second fix WC, shower unit, WHB, screens and disabled grab rails.
  • Fit 10mm PVC wall panels over existing tiles (cladding experience essential)
  • Be able to demonstrate you are a competent tradesperson
  • Have the prerequisite technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge for the trades you perform for the company ensuring you keep abreast of updates and changes.
  • Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry.
  • Qualifications and SkillsMinimum of 3+ years of domestic bathroom experience (wet room / level access / mobility experience essential)Qualified Plumber to an NVQ level 2, or similar professional body (preferred)Joinery experience (boxing, architraves, door opening adjustments etc).Experience in working with wet walling, most of our installations involve full pvc wet walls instead of tiles.First fix / electrical basic knowledgeFlooring experience welcomed but not essential (we contract specialist flooring teams)Competent IT skills (excel / word)CSCS or equivalent qualificationGood communication skills both verbal and written, planning and organisational skills is essentialFull UK driving licence, essentialEnsuring safe working procedures are maintained and all site operations are performed in a safe manner in accordance with risk and method assessmentsBenefits & SalaryOur core responsibility as an employer is to offer our workforce job security as part of a long, rewarding career.
