Job Description

Job Title: Senior 2nd Line TechnicianLocation: LiverpoolSalary: £38,000We are currently seeking an experienced Senior 2nd Line Technician to join an organisation based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and maintenance services, with a focus on desktop andserver support.The Senior 2nd Line Technician will be expected to:

Monitor and respond to service desk requests, resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure all IT services are delivered in a professional and effective manner.
Provide technical support for all users, responding to requests and queries in an appropriate manner.
Develop and maintain an effective system for the maintenance and upgrade of IT systems and services.
Provide technical advice and guidance to other departments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and industry trends.

Technical Skills Required:

Proven experience of delivering 2nd line support to SMEs
Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
Experience of using Active Directory and Group Policy.
Knowledge of PC/Server hardware, networking, and systems security.
Proven experience of using ticketing systems.
IP Telephony - (Desirable)
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
