Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Finishing Operative to work for our client based in Stocksbridge.You will be learning to Finish Company Products at the end of the line after the main manufacture/Prefabrication work. This includes sealing, cleaning and reworking of vehicles.The specific duties are:

  1. Learning to Finish Products to time and to a good level of Quality including cleaning, the use of silicone sealant and completing of small jobs found on QC checks (reworks)
  2. Looking after personal issued tools
  3. Communicate Stock Shortages to area Supervisor
  4. Reporting faults found to Supervisor
  5. Understanding the Finishing process and how they fit into it
  6. Checking and signing off of their own work in line with the Works Operation lists/checklists.
  7. Complying with all company health and safety procedures and looking after PPE.
The ideal candidate will have excellent atention to detail, the ability to work in a fast paced environment and will be able to work in a physical and demanding role.Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however the most important thing is that you are eager and willing to learn many areas of the manufacturing process as Finishing covers a wide range of skills across all products.The hours of work will be 7:30am-5pm Mon-Thurs and 7:30am-12:30pm Fri; 39.75 hours per week with a payrate of £9.10p/h.
