This company makes Graphene accessible to everyone!They are an advanced material supplier who has invented, patented and commercialised a revolutionary design for manufacture process to produce high performing pure 3D graphene foam.They have already launched one brand which enables laboratory tests to be translated to the point of need within the human diagnostics market; and the next product launched will be a pure 3D graphene foam supercapacitor which enables smart power for the lifeof a product.- This role WILL bring graphene energy storage products to the market- It requires a dedicated hands-on scientist who wants their core role to be based on the power of rigorous data gathering, analysis, interpretation to drive product development from concept to launch- Deliver product improvement and new product development goals in energy storage - Carry out electrochemical and mechanical characterisation of advanced materials- Analyse the interaction between electrodes and electrolyte and advise on cell design and architecture optimisationRequired skills- Relevant PhD in either electrochemistry or surface science is required- Significant relevant experience in the field of fuel cell, supercapacitor and/or battery- 3+ years of experience (theoretical and practical knowledge) in supercapacitors and /or battery- Experience in working with nano-structured carbons and novel electrolyte formulations- Experience in working with electrochemical deposition techniques - Electrochemical testing and characterisation of supercapacitors and/or batteries including: Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Cyclic Voltammetry, and Cell CyclingSalary will be dependent on alignment of technical experience and level of responsibility demonstrated in previous experience.In addition to a competitive salary, 33 days annual leave (statutory days included), pension and flexible working hours, you will work in a collaborative and social team.
