Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT), Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (ANHSFT) and Harrogate General Hospital (HGH) are high-performing Trusts providing acute and specialist outreach services for local people.BTHFT, ANHSFT and HGH have formed a joint venture, Integrated Pathology Solutions LLP (IPS) to provide pathology services to the three organisations and other local healthcare providers.Applications are invited for a full time HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood transfusion based on the Bradford site but must be able to work across all sites if required. Candidates will need to be enthusiastic, well motivated and innovative, with good organisational and practical abilities supported by scientific knowledge. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to support individual and team working is essential.Candidates should have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience in a similar role.The fully refurbished department is well equipped with Sysmex XN series FBC analysers, ACL TOP coagulation analysers and Ortho Vison analysers for Blood Transfusion.The successful candidate will be expected to play a major role in training, H&S and audit, as appropriate to the grade of this role.The department operates a 24/7 service under Agenda for change T&C’s.
