HGV Technician Vacancy - Bristol Salary: £15-£16.50ph depending on experience + bonus42 hours per week - You will do a 9 hour day, with your van.OC10661We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician for our clients dealer site in the Bristol area.This is a superb opportunity for a HGV Technician to join a fantastic company and brand, with plenty of opportunities to progress. Role:Typical working day -

Go to a customer site first thing (7am) to do a PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspection). They will then do a PMI at a customer site last thing - 3pm ish.
In between these sites they will do infield & reactive work, mostly vehicle inspections around the different customer sites.
Their main focus is to ensure that the vehicle is always on the road. Working around customer requirements.
They do not do recovery work, they outsource that function.

Requirement:

Minimum 3 years experience in a busy workshop
Class 2 lisence or propared to get one
Possess Strong mechanical Skills
Have a steady work history
You must be a minimum level 3 HGV Technician or equivalent to (City and Guilds)

HGV mobiles must have a Class 2 HGV licence or be prepared to get a licence before joining ( we can point them in the direction of a Company we use who can normally get them a test slot with in 4 to 6 weeks at a cost of about 2K ) or be prepared for us topay for it after their 90 day probation done but they must sign a declaration to cover the costs pro rata should they leave within 2 years and until they get their licence they could only work on LCVs and the pay rate depends on experience ,qualificationsand on having a HGV licenceAll applications will be treated with the utmost confidentialityINDHGVConsultant: Lea AbellOctane Recruitment is a specialist Automotive / Motor Trade recruitment agency.
