Benefits include 25 Days Holiday and Pension Scheme.Full Time, PermanentMy client a reputable and established professional membership body in the education sector based in Nottingham, East Midlands is recruiting for a Head of Communications. You can be home based or Nottingham office based or a mixture - flexible.The RoleDevelop and nurture positive relationships with media and parliamentarians,cementing the membership bodys position as the authoritative voice.With the Director of Public Affairs and Policy, create and execute annual Communications and Marketing Strategies.Implement efficient and effective systems and processes to streamline existing, and deliver new, communications capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesCreating and delivering a communications strategy, covering a range of areas including media and press, social media, digital, branding, guidance, publications, blogs and so on.Building relationships with the media and secure regular coverage in sector, local and national press.Growing social and traditional media presence influence, monitoring impact and converting digital traffic to membership and/or sales.Creating effective systems to deliver high-quality communications at pace, and monitor their effectiveness through robust data analysis.Implementing new content, ensuring regular meaningful output to support members and the Trust sector.Managing both day-to-day delivery of communications, including drafting and publishing content, while also developing a team and playing a key strategic role in growth plan.Supporting the Leadership Group by producing timely and accurate briefings across a range of topics, including developments in education policy and the political landscape more broadly.Playing a key role in delivering new systems across the organisation (CRM, website, mailing platform etc.), as well as communications and marketing platforms (Canva, Hootsuite, Google Analytics etc.).Growing a team and line managing 3-5 staff over the coming years.Any other duties that may be delegated by the Director of Public Affairs and Policy, Deputy Chief Executive or Chief Executive from time to time.Person SpecificationAs part of a small and growing organisation, you will need to be highly adaptable and willing to switch between core delivery (e.g., producing copy for the website) and strategic leadership (e.g., delivering an organisation-wide content plan to result inincreased presence, membership, and sales).Output focused, executing a range of communications interventions across channels in the most efficient way.People-centred, adept at forming and maintaining positive relationships with direct reports, staff of all levels, and external stakeholders.Data driven, with a relentless focus on monitoring impact and setting and hitting ambitious targets.Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.An excellent leader, nurturing staff to have agency and deliver high-quality work at pace.Committed to ongoing development of yourself and your team.To apply to this role of Head of Communications please send your CVDue to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
