Role: Technical Support AdvisorLocation:Ilkeston, DerbyshireSector: Building Materials / Construction SupplyPackage: £25,000 - £30,000 + BonusOur client is a manufacturer of ductile iron and cast iron products to the UKs key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies. Due to growth they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Support Advisor to join their busy team.The role:Based in Ilkeston, the role of the Technical Support Advisor is to support the sales team with respect to all technical enquiries: working off drawings, doing technical take-offs, creating bills of materials / quantities in order to get the specificationright for the sales team to accuratewly quote for the job.Key Attributes:

ONC/HNC qualified in an engineering discipline, or recent graduate
AutoCAD competent in both 2D and Revit platforms
Pipe installation qualification (City and Guilds or similar)
Knowledge of UK Water Industry
Understanding of pipeline products and principles - Ideally a working knowledge of Ductile Iron pipeline products
CAD design and interpretation of design drawings
Experience in communicating at all levels - from site contractors to design consultants
Delivery of technical design solutions and value creation/engineering
Entry level commercial acumen and awareness
Specification selling experience and ability to articulate value creation and TOTEX opportunities
Site pipeline installation experience - Holder of CSCS card - Desirable but not essential
