Job Description

Title: Inflatable FitterDo you have experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment do you have previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environmentInflatable Fitter required in the near StansteadSalary upto £26,000Location: near StansteadOverhaul and repair of various aircraft safety equipment and associated sub-assemblies; which include escape slides, rafts, life jackets, survival kits, water makers, valve & cylinder assemblies.The Role of Inflatable Fitter

  • To disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.
  • To reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMMs / OHMs and OEM packing instructions.
  • To represent and positively promote the organisation at all levels
  • Participate in training and personal development activities as required
  • To comply with all Company policies and procedures and support Company initiatives
  • To undertake any other reasonable tasks as may be required by the line manager or Directors
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role
    • What are the key (minimum) requirements for a successful Inflatable Fitter application
  • Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
  • OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable)
  • Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).
  • Previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment (highly desirable)
  • Prior experience working of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.
