Job Description

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Business and Economics Teacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding, all girls secondary school and is in the top 1% best comprehensive secondary schools in London. The school is based in Harrow North London. This is an outerLondon school.This Business and Economics teaching position starts on the 8th January 2024 and is a full-time teaching position.THE BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER TEACHING JOB:

  • Full-time Business and Economics teaching job
  • Ideally starting January 2024
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 and Key stage 5
  • This is a mainstream, Ofsted Outstanding secondary school.
  • Exam board Edexcel
  • 2 members of the department
  • The Business and Economics department is well resourced.
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking.
  • Parking is available on site and the school is well served by public transport.
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER WILL BE
  • Qualified Business and Economics teacher - UK or Overseas Business and Economics teacher
  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS preferred) or equivalent.
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
  • Be a team player
CONTRACT DETAILS FOR THE BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER POSITION:
  • Location - Harrow
  • Position - Full Time Business and Economics Teacher
  • Type of work -Business and Economics teaching in a secondary school
  • Start date - January 2024
  • Contract type - temporary with a view to becoming permanent after 12 weeks.
  • Duration / Likely Duration - January 2024 - July 2024
  • Full time/part time - Full time 5 days
  • Minimum rate of pay - £942.20 - £1460 per week dependant on your pay scale.
TO BE ELIGIBLE THE BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER MUST HAVE / BE:
  • Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
  • A positive attitude and desire to maintain current standards and raise attainment across the school.
  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm
  • The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun
  • Excellent communication skills - the school encourages good communication with parents / carers
