* Ideally hold CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice* 5 month Fixed Term ContractOur Housing Client is seeking a Neighbourhood Officer on a fixed term contact for 5 months. This role will be responsible for the provision of an effective, efficient and customer focussed neighbourhood management service. The Neighbourhood Officer role willbe responsible for a proactively focused "risk based" tenancy management service and will ensure that performance standards and targets are achieved in relation to anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, transfer inspections, tenancy management and estate managementand to monitor and report on that performance. This role requires DBS disclosure and also a current valid driving license and use of own vehicle.The role will involve:* Identifying and managing low level breaches of tenancy (including allegations of anti-social behaviour) promptly and efficiently and provide advice and guidance to tenants to ensure they maintain their tenancy in accordance with the tenancy agreement. * To liaise with the Community Safety team to prevent low and medium cases escalating to high risk* To work closely with local Councils, Police, support services and other external agencies to improve multi-agency working and effectively manage Anti-Social Behaviour, Safeguarding, Tenancy Management and Estate Management cases/issues.* To be proactive in identifying vulnerable groups or individuals and work with other agencies to provide appropriate support in order to maintain tenancies and reduce tenancy failure* To be proactive in identifying "complex and high risk tenancies" which could result in high void costs and/or housing management costs* Other associated dutiesWe are ideally seeking a Neighbourhood Officer with the following experience:* Experience and knowledge of housing legislation and best practice regarding Estate Management, Grounds Maintenance and/or Fire Risk Assessments/Block Inspections issues* Experience of tackling and dealing with Estate Management, Grounds Maintenance and/or Fire Risk Assessments/Block Inspections issues* Experience of establishing a reasonable and proportionate resolution for tackling Estate Management, Grounds Maintenance and/or Fire Risk* A relevant professional qualification such as CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice would be an advantage* Ability to think ahead and be pro-active on behalf of customers and the organisation* Ability to generate own ideas and develop others ideas* Actively consults and listens to others* Post requires DBS disclosure for successful applicant* Current valid driving license and use of own vehiclesalary: £31,442 Pro RataHours: 37 per weekBrampton Recruitment are an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
