Job Description

If this sounds like you, please read on to find out more about the Supply Chain Manager opportunity in Stafford.What impact will you have in this roleThis role is working with our Saint-Gobain Abrasives business to fully satisfy its customers needs and achieve world-class customer satisfaction through the accurate and reliable supply chain co-ordination of UK finished products, in line with Saint-Gobain Abrasives business strategy.In the role as a Supply Chain Manager you will;

  • Manage UK finished good inventory ensuring Customer Service objectives are met whilst optimising inventory levels and value.
  • Responsible for the product availability in the UK Distribution Centre by ensuring demand and supply targets are achieved.
  • Oversee the supply of products into the UK Distribution Centre by owning the MRP process in SAP, ensuring the Material Scheduling team achieve on time delivery and availability from internal and external suppliers through efficient and agile administration of the MRP module with non-conformance and exceptions followed up daily.
  • Drive the PLM process (Product Life Cycle Management) within the UK DC - monitoring and co-ordinating appropriate actions for inventory at each key stage - Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline and Obsolescence
  • Support Transport tender activity, collaborating with Purchasing to secure UK contracts fulfilling Group Roadmap requirements in EHS, Service and Cost Optimisation.

  • Materials Management experience (or similar) in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Line Management experience - leading, coaching, defining goals and performance management.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Warehouse Management IT systems.
  • Experience of SAP and Business Intelligence reporting is essential.
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to interact with a wide range of employees across the organisation from shop floor to senior managers. Often translating complex data into simple to understand information.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
