Job Description

We are currently seeking a diligent Finance Manager to oversee the accounting and finance department of a not-for-profit organisation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in finance management and have a passion for contributing to thebetterment of the community.Client DetailsOur client is a reputable not-for-profit educational organisation based within Staffordshire.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of a Finance Manager will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting & finance department.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with auditors for audit activities as needed.
  • Support the management with in-depth analysis and advice on financial operations.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the financial performance of the organisation.
  • Comply with all legal requirements, upholding the organisations high ethical standards.
ProfileA successful Finance Manager should have:
  • A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Not for Profit and Charities background, Education desirable.
  • Strong understanding and experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
