The role is primarily office based but will involve visits to clients.You will have hands on management of a variety of assignments with a portfolio of SME businesses (mainly Limited Companies, with some partnerships, sole traders etc) across a wide range of industry sectors.Training, assisting and mentoring a team of Accountants and trainees.Ongoing input into the growth and progression of the firm.Specific Responsibilities will include:- Managing your own portfolio of clients- Year end and monthly management accounts- Tax Compliance and advisory services including Corporate, personal, VAT, CIS and other returns, liaison with HMRC.- Forecast, business planning and financing.- Problem solving and general business advisory including advising clients on a range of financial and other matters with the support of internal and external specialists.- Deadline management and compliance.- Supervision of junior staff.- Business growth advice and generally adding value to clients businesses.Skills / Experience;You will have at least 5 years post qualified, recent previous experience of working as an Accountant / Senior Accountant in a professional accountancy practise.You will be AAT / ACCA / ACA Qualified.Commercially astuteFamiliarity with main accounting Packages including Sage50, Xero, Quickbooks, VT.Strong written and verbal communicationsAbility to innovate, generate ideas and problem solve.Good team player, coach and motivatorDiligent and hard workingWant to make a real differenceSelf-confidentProfessional client facing manner and the ability to maintain and build existing and new client relationships.Excellent inter personal skillsStrong presentation and organisation skillsA Driving license and use of transport for travel when required.A base close to Staffordshire, with the flexibility to work around the Staffordshire and general West Midlands area.The role would suit an ambitious, self-driven individual looking to take over a successful accountancy practise over a period of time, with a passion to build the practise into a market leader and an understanding of the potential and possibilitieson offer.Job Title: Senior Practise Accountant / Partner DesignatePackage: Salary of £50K - £60K +negotiable profit sharing plus a range of benefits, dependent on experience.
