The role of the Senior Category Manager role is to drive profitable growth of the clients categories within a key grocey retail partner, alongside driving overall category growth for the clients customers. You will work as part of the multi-functionalcommercial team, providing category expertise, insight and analysis, and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.Client DetailsOur client is a well-known British food business with a focus on sustainability as well as providing good quality products for their global retail base. The client enjoys well-known status thanks to its parent companys established product portfolio, andnow require a Senior Category Manager to assist with keeping them at the forefront of the Grocery Sector within a key partner.DescriptionThe Senior Category Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:- To identify and share, in an engaging and action orientated way, the latest category trends, the reasons behind market trends and the implications and opportunities for our client and their customers. Identify the size of the prize for various opportunitiesand assist in tracking performance against those targets.- Supporting the development of the clients category strategy and the tailoring for customers- To be the lead on range reviews from space, flow, assortment, and SKU distribution.- Aligning pack design, pack communication and size to key usage occasions- Tackling the challenging business landscape and offering solutions to maintain or increase profitabilityProfileTo be considered applicants will require the following background:- 5+ years of FMCG experience within Category Management ideally with leadership duties- Able to articulate data concepts to a non-expert audience- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills- Strong user of Kantar, IRI or Nielsen- Solid knowledge of shopper marketing processes- Commutable distance to Staffordshire to attend the office 2-3 times a week - 50 miles maxJob OfferSuccessful applicants will be offered a comprehensive package consisting of:- Starting salary of £55000- Generous car allowance + performance bonus- Pension, Healthcare and Life Insurance- Trade discounts- Structured career progression with focus on hiring within
