Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Description We are looking for a temporary QC to work within the HVDC Manufacturing environment based in Stafford, UK, and reporting directly to the NPI /Engineering / Manufacturing Quality Leader and working across all areas with the Global Supply Chain/HVDC Manufacturingenvironment.In this role, the Manufacturing QC will ensure Company quality goals are met, investigate all production quality issues, and be responsible for delivering systemic quality processes throughout the production process.Specific Responsibilities:o Responsible for Goods In quality inspectiono Responsible for material returns to supplier against RMA issued from Supplier via Supplier Quality function tool o Responsible for rejecting material returns in SAPo Responsible for the Quarantine of materials and managing Quarantine areao Responsible for EOL (End of Line) Inspection for all Finished Goods and Sub-Assemblies manufactured within HVDC Manufacturing area.o Responsible for In Line Inspection/Spot Inspectiono Responsible to review and control blocked and QM stock within SAPo Support creation of ITP (inspection and Test Plans) as requiredo Apply continuous improvement and use of best practice o Ensure Inspection criteria, provided by others, in place for all materials, requiring inspection o Support structured root cause analysis and coordinate initial correction and containment of all non-conformances identified in production.o Support in production holds and their releases.The PersonThe candidate will have a good level of general education and communication skills and will have previously worked in a manufacturing quality environment. Ideally, the candidate should have SAP experience, but full training will be given. In addition to relevant experience, an enquiring mind and desire to learn new skills are essential qualities. There will be a requirement to work outside standard working hours 8.00-4.30pm to support/match the Manufacturing shift pattern.Skills and Experience Preferred:* EHS compliance and safe working practices * Ability to deliver results, address and resolve technical issue * Experience in a manufacturing quality environment and assembly knowledge (5 years)* HNC or equivalent within Quality Environment * Interaction with others and good at sharing knowledge Additional skills beneficial * Advanced manufacturing methods and subsequent implementation - LEAN* Knowledge of business principles, strategy and subsequent interface across all functions.Specific Abilities: * Interpersonal and communication skills* Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach* Problem-solving and root cause identification skills* Able to work to deadlines with good quality* Proficient in the English language, written and verbal.Spring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
