Job Description

My Keele-based client is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to ensure raw materials meet specification and are the required quality prior to acceptance.The salary offered for the role is between £21,000 and £24,000 dependent on experience.The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.The details of the role:

  • Willing to gown up and work in a cleanroom environment
  • Plan and adhere to inspection schedules to ensure materials are available for production
  • Inspect raw materials in accordance with the sampling plans
  • Approve raw materials by confirming acceptance to specification
  • Reject materials not meeting specification
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding any issues found
  • Using software to record all results and metrics
  • Help resolve any issues in a timely manner and support corrective and preventative actions.
The ideal candidate:
  • Experience in a quality / manufacturing role 3 years or more. Ideally within a medical devices or pharmaceutical organization.
  • Level 4 NVQ or HNC / HND in science discipline
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written and ability to communicate internally and also with external contacts
  • Driver with own transport as the client operates across two sites.
  • Methodical, organised and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Will work well on their own initiative but also operate well as part of a team.
