Strategic Procurement LeadDuration:PermanentLocation:StaffordshireHours:MondayThursday, 8am5pm, Friday 8am-1pm.Salary:£40,000£45,000 (Depending On Experience)Hybrid:5 days on siteAn opening has arisen for a Purchasing Lead on a permanent contract within a Multinational corporation based in Staffordshire. This role is perfect for a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Officer looking for the next step in their career.The successful candidate has experience in a similar position and will be responsible for:- Ensuring the scope and targets of the new programme are agreed through cross-functional reviews to facilitate early supplier engagement, purchasing category compliance and commercial approach.- Supporting the construction of a synthetic BOM and providing a summary of the existing supplier performance that includes development plans where appropriate.- Supporting Engineering in constructing a drawing release plan capable of supporting the overall timing requirements and to project manage the long lead time parts- Managing the completion of supplier non-disclosure agreements for specific programmes.- Identifying appropriate suppliers to participate in product launch reviews and managing any associated risk identified within this activity.- Monitoring and reporting the overall quality status and actively support the monitoring of timing plans and expediting of parts and / or quality documents.- Working together with Engineering and the various Purchasing teams in order to support the target creation process for new parts and monitoring consolidated status, progress and any cost saving opportunities throughout the launch of a programme.- Preparing papers summarising the overall Purchasing position for gate reviews and represent the function at a senior level when appropriate.The Ideal candidate willhave:- Experience in a similar role.- Resilient in dealing with stakeholders and suppliers in a fast paced environment- Managed projects of various sizes- CIPS level 5 / Prince 2 or equivalent work experience, managing projects and doing procurement.To discuss this role in more detail and to secure this opportunity, please contact Namaan Zubair or Michael Mcclure on or alternatively emailAt Venn Group we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the volume of applications which we receive this is not always possible.
