Job Description

Concept Resourcing are proud to be working once again with our public sector client who require a Commercial Business Partner to oversee a range of categories within procurement whilst proactively leading a team of all abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating and delivering strategic approach in regarding to several categories
  • Implementing commercial strategies on behalf of supporting organisations
  • Providing commercial procurement expertise to senior stakeholders
  • Ensuring budgets are utilised in the most efficient cost saving way
  • Management of a small team of procurement officers at different levels - delegating of works and training and development
  • Working inside PCR 2015/OJEU regulations
  • Ensuring compliance across the categories are upheld
  • Overseeing and managing compliant routes to market across organisations
  • Supplier management
  • Complex contract negotiations
The ideal candidate will attain the following skills/expertise:
  • Experience within public sector procurement to adhere to PCR/OJEU regulations
  • CIPS/MCIPS qualified/studying OR relevant experience in the sector
  • Ability to implement strategic plans and developments
  • Excellent contract negotiations and end to end procurement experience
  • Experience of managing/mentoring teams and training
  • Conducting analysis of markets
  • Excellent communication skills - able to formulate information and present back to senior stakeholders
  • profession acumen - able to represent the organisation at events/expos
This role will be hybrid working with 3 days minimum required on site or at partner organisations within the Staffordshire/Shropshire area so MUST be able to commute.There is mandatory on-boarding for this position which can take up to 8 weeks so please be ensure you are happy to go ahead and can commit to the start date which can be anywhere up until Feb 2023 including notice periods.Salary - £40,000 - £45700 + benefits
