Job Description

Primary Plant EngineerContract - 6 months minimumProgressive Global Energy are working with a global leader in HV and HVDC technology.They are currently looking to recruit a number of Primary Plant Engineers for new build on and offshore substations as part of their wind farm connection portfolio. They are looking for candidates with the following skills;

  • HV or HVDC industry experience
  • Design Engineering background
  • Strong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEC, CIGRE) and related equipment
  • Knowledge of switchgear, transformers etc
  • Autocad experience
  • Ideally Revit experience (but this can be learnt on the job)
The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Design optimized substation & buildings layouts integrating all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraints
  • Deliver substation & buildings general arrangements and civil guides as per project planning
  • Support continuous improvement within plant engineering discipline
This is a very exciting opportunity as they are using cutting edge technology.
