Job Description

Press Brake Operator - StaffordshireRobertson Recruitment are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for an award-winning custom metal fabrication company based in Stafford.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business offering a permanent contract following a successful probation period.This is a great opening for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a thriving and expanding business.Press Brake Operator - The Job Role:

  • Operate machinery (press brakes) to manufacture and manipulate metal within the production department.
  • Checking various tools for damage and communicating issues.
  • Work in a fast paced environment where efficiency is of the upmost importance.
  • Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy in line with H&S.
  • Have a fantastic attention to detail and be able to focus on individual tasks.
  • Work well within a team.
  • Be able to consistently fabricate usable products that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanically engineered drawings.
  • Uphold all ISO standards applicable.
    • Press Brake Operator - The Person:
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience operating press brakes.
  • Good knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
  • Be able to differentiate between material types (aluminium, steel, stainless steel, copper and brass)
  • Experience operating Amada press brakes is preferred but not essential.
  • Sheet metal work experience.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Have the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Work under minimal supervision and whilst still meeting quality requirements.
  • Ability to use a calliper and tape measure.
