Our client in South Staffordshire (WV6) is looking to employ a Pig Stockperson to develop high welfare and environmentally friendly farm.The farm will produce high welfare finishing pigs for the butcher markets. Piglets will arrive every three weeks, which are taken outdoor for the first 9 weeks. They are then moved into brand new deep straw bedded yards with outside runs.Ideally, the successful candidate will have 1 year + experience, but applicants with less experience or experience with different livestock will be considered. Jobs description: Feeding Bedding up Treating pigs Moving pigs from tents to sheds Weighing pigs Moving tents onto fresh land, washing them and setting them up for the next batch Mucking out the new sheds Salary: £20k - £23kAccommodation is not available, so candidates need to commute to WV6 (South Staffordshire, near the Shropshire Border).
