Job Description

My client, growing and dynamic service-based organisation, leaders in their field, are recruiting for an Interim Internal Controls Specialist. The role is to support the CFO & GFC in implementing a new risk-based framework under Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) standards.Location: StaffordshireContract length: 12 monthsContract hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours a week (9-5)Rate: £450-£550 per day (limited company - outside IR35)Requirements of the Interim Internal Controls Specialist:

  • Review current processes and procedures of internal controls and compliance in accordance with ICFR Compliance
  • Provide advice, guidance and solutions to areas of weakness, including poor practice and manual processes
  • Conduct control testing, provide control guidance for remediation efforts and evaluate deficiencies
  • Document procedures and controls to prevent internal controls risks
  • Create and deliver internal audit cycle and action plan
  • Develop an awareness and understanding of internal controls and risks within finance and the broader business operations
  • Provide recommendations and training to relevant staff members on new policies and processes
    • Essential Requirements
  • Fully qualified in either ACCA, ACA or CIMA
  • Prior experience reviewing and implementing risks and controls within a SOX/COSO or a highly regulated environment such as ICFR
