The Organisation My client is a rapidly growing, Midlands-based retail business with an instantly recognisable selection of brands in its portfolio. As they continue their impressive growth, they are now looking to hire their first Head of E-Commerce on an initial 9 month contractto devise the strategy for, and to drive the online retail business. The Role The Head of E-Commerce will report in to the Managing Director and will set a digital trading strategy to take advantage of this huge opportunity to deliver digital sales. You will have a blank canvas to build a best in class team to bring consistency of branding,ranging and messaging across online and the physical retail network. You will identify opportunities to grow customer base and identify behavioural flows as well as target audiences through personalisation and the segmentation of data to increase retention.You will take responsibility for the Ecommerce website - customer journey, trading, SEO, CRM (lifecycle marketing), Digital Marketing, Affiliate marketing, CRO, retention and acquisition of customers as well as creating a digital development roadmap to supportsales growth. The Head of E-Commerce will work closely with the product and inhouse studio teams to identify and develop product ranges, and work with operations teams to improve and deliver a best in class service proposition for the customer, website &marketplace requirements The Person The successful Head of E-Commerce will: - be adept at working within a B2C retail markets - have a demonstrable track record of owning E-Commerce & Digital Marketing strategy (including website and customer journey) - have a clear vision and experience of building an E-Commerce offering from the ground up - have a strong commercial acumen and the ability to spot opportunity - be a strong communicator and able to build relationships across all departments of the business - available to start within a month Package Competitive salary + benefits
