We are currently looking for a Production Scientist to join a leading contract manufacturing organisation based in the Staffordshire area. As the Production Scientist you will be responsible for product delivery in a GMP facility.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Production Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will form part of a multidisciplinary team to carry out microbial or mammalian fermentation and cell banking in a GMP environment. 2. You will take processes from the client/development/technology transfer stage into GMP and produce biopharmaceuticals for a wide range of applications.3. As the Production Scientist, you will review and author SOPs as needed to ensure that production remains as efficient and prompt as possible.4. Maintain the cleanrooms to GMP standards to ensure no contamination occurs.ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Production Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant qualifications in a life science discipline.2. Proven industry experience in GMP manufacturing and working with microbial or mammalian cultures.3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Fermentation techniques is required.
