Job Description

Fundraising ManagerIn this newly created role, we are seeking an ambitious, hands-on Fundraising leader who is happy managing a team and making the ask themselves.You will join us at an exciting time of growth and ambition and bring confidence, aptitude and advocacy alongside professional skills and expertise.Position: Fundraising ManagerLocation: Staffordshire - Hybrid working arrangementsHours: 35hrs per weekSalary: £28,552£36,546 dependant on experienceContract: PermanentBenefits: Flexible working, Hybrid working pattern to suit needs of role, 25 Annual leave plus Bank Holidays and additional Christmas days, 10% non-contributory pension, Employee assistance programme, Life Assurance scheme, Electric Car, and Biketo work salary sacrifice schemes.Closing Date: 9am 26th September 2022Interview Date: 3rd October 2022The RoleThe Fundraising Manager will develop and deliver a strategic approach to fundraising from major donors, legacy givers, corporates, and grant making trusts.Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver the Trusts fundraising strategy
  • Align the work of the fundraising team
  • Produce and monitor ambitious but sustainable annual action plans and budgets
  • Manage and develop an ambitious fundraising team, recruiting a new Corporate Partnerships Officer
  • Work together with colleagues across the organisation to maximise the full range of opportunities
  • Further develop our Major Donor Programme
  • Establish a Corporate Partnerships programme, ensuring this meets ambitious income growth goals
  • Support the development of successful bids from across the organisation to grant and trust making
  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the fundraising team
  • Constantly seek best practise and new approaches from other Wildlife Trusts

About the OrganisationA registered charity established in 1969 they are one of 47 county Wildlife Trusts throughout the UK and are supported by over 15,000 members.The Trust owns or manages 30 nature reserves covering an area of over 4,050 acres. Our 60 staff are based in six locations around the county including our Headquarters at Wolseley Bridge, Stafford, with our work divided up into four departments: Commercial,Engagement, Activism & Marketing, Resources and Conservation.
