Job Description

Contract Logistics ManagerStaffordshire Salary DOE + BenefitsOur client, a multi-award-winning provider of international air, sea, road freight forwarding and logistics services, is currently seeking a highly experienced Contract Logistics Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Stoke warehouse.As the Contract Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all warehouse activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing inventory levels and implementing inventory control measures to prevent discrepancies and stockouts.
  • Optimising the use of warehouse space by designing storage layouts and maximising shelf space
  • Managing the order fulfilment process and ensuring that customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
  • Overseeing quality control procedures to ensure that goods are received and stored in good condition.
  • Implementing safety protocols, conducting safety training, and enforcing safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Leading and managing a team of warehouse personnel, including supervisors, pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • Significant managerial experience
  • Knowledge of WMS systems including RF Scanners
  • Proven experience running a high performing profitable contract logistics department.
  • Confident decision making and problem solving.
  • Able to interpret statistics and data effectively.
