Job Description

CloudOps EngineerLocation: StaffordSalary: Up to £65KWe are a recruitment agency looking for an experienced CloudOps Engineer to join our clients software engineering team based in Stafford. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate, dynamic and a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology.The CloudOps Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our clients cloud computing infrastructure, ensuring that all services are running efficiently and that all systems are secure and compliant.This job requires a strong understanding of cloud computing and an ability to develop, manage and maintain cloud solutions.Key responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, manage and maintain cloud solutions and services.
  • Assist with chnage request
  • Collab with internal teams & disciplines, especially with SMEs
  • Ensure all systems are secure, compliant and up to date.
  • Monitor cloud usage, performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Develop and implement cloud best practices and processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the best customer experience.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in cloud computing technologies such as AWS.
  • Linux/Unix administration and configuration.
  • Four years experince in a commercial IT support role
  • Hands on experience on AWS including: SSM, EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, KMS
  • Good understanding of networking technologies, DNS, subnetting, firewall configurations
  • Windows server IT infrastructure and Windows Systems Admin
Desirable Skills:
  • Worked in an environment where PCI DSS is a bonus
  • AWS RDS/ or SQL server 2016/SP1+
  • Knowledge of certificates and RSA keys
