  • Cost Reduction Management

  • Ensure supply certainly using appropriate best practices
  • Lead cultural alignment for the Supply Chain Function in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
This role will assist the GSM function to promote efficiency, value generation, cost savings and improved service for both internal and external customers. Working closely with the introduction of new key systems including MES and Business Central due forimplementation in 2024, the GSM function will integrate with these new and enhanced business systems and processes.Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver global supply chain strategies within the South Wales region;
  • Lead and develop the team within the South Wales region in line with the Group Key Strategic Initiatives;
  • Deliver constant improvement of systems, policies, procedures and management information for the region and aligning our vision to transition to a global shared service.
  • Gain and maintain a good understanding of supply chain dynamics with key stakeholders in a fast-moving environment;
  • Manage key relationships with our supply chain partners;
  • Negotiate all aspects of global and regional procurement contracts;
  • Manage the ongoing evaluation of supplier performance and support supplier development;
  • Develop and implement Total Cost of Ownership models;
  • Manage regional inventories to balance operational needs with efficient working capital management;
  • Deploying, identifying and monitoring ongoing opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reductions e.g. obsolescence / recycling / scrap etc.
Qualifications / Essential Skills
  • Degree or equivalent in supply chain or an engineering discipline;
  • MCIPS / APICS accreditation
  • Experience within procurement and materials & planning
  • Experience gained within semiconductor or similar manufacturing industryautomotive, aerospace, medical devices, oil and gas industry
