Job Description

Paraplanner An excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm of Financial Consultants who are based in Cardiff. This company is directly authorised and specialise in providing advice in pensions, investments and tax planning. This is an office-based role.The firm are now in a position to appoint a new paraplanner to join their established team. The role will be centred around providing technical and research support to the financial planners and management to help maintain existing client relationships,whilst looking to capitalise on new opportunities.The Role:

  • Preparation of new and existing client Cashflows ready for annual strategy meetings
  • Analysing data received by clients and providers then use research tools to provide solutions to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Generating and accurately saving research undertaken in a structured and consistent format.
  • Writing Suitability Letters and Financial Planning reports that are accurate, personalised and match the client’s objectives.
  • Implementing agreed actions including taking fees from providers, allocating investments to wrappers, linking investment models and placing buy/sell trades.
  • Ability to work efficiently under own initiative with impeccable attention to detail

Required Skills and Qualifications:Essential
  • GCSE grades A-C in English and Maths
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Confident communication skills and comfortable dealing with clients, providers and management.
  • Excellent IT and keyboard skills as well as a good telephone manner.
  • Relevant experience of being within a parplanning role in an advisory / wealth management business.
  • Either achieved Level 4 diploma in financial services (or being very close to achieving this).
