Job Description

Storeperson/Warehouse MOD, Saint Athan, CF62 4JDContract Length: Feb 2024Pay Rate: £10.80 PAYE p/hr (37hr week)To provide logistic supply support to MOD St Athan as a part of the Support Squadron and Logistics Flight.

  • Unload, receive and unpack consignments
  • Pack and despatch non-hazardous equipment.
  • Receipt, storage, issue and delivery of technical and electronic equipment.
  • Receipt, storage and issue of clothing
  • Receipt, storage, issue and delivery of barrack and domestic accommodation stores.
  • Take the necessary security precautions to safeguard equipment, documents and staff.
  • Operate the Management of the Deployed Inventory (MJDI) System after appropriate training.
Skills
  • Car Driving Licence (Cat B)
  • Forklift Truck Licence (desirable)
  • Physically fit and able to bend, kneel and to be capable of using correct manual handling techniques to lift materials of a weight of 15kg from the floor to a height of 1.6m and onto a truck bed or shelf, and vice versa.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, and Microsoft Office outlook (email), Word and Excel software.
  • Previous experience in similar role.
