We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to lead a small team, someone who has strong JavaScript skills for an ex- citing career opportunity leading our Customer Portal Development Team based at our HQ in West Berkshire.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesLine management of a small team of developersPrioritisation and sequencing of development work to blend technical debt reduction with feature developmentDesigning and implementing highly available and secure Web solutions primarily using JavaScriptActive participation in application design and data flows.Delivery of software to specification and on-scheduleTesting features to ensure they are fit for purpose including across multiple browsers and environmentsDevelopment and testing of Application Program Interfaces (APIs)Working with internal stakeholders to capture and negotiate their requirementsDefine the scope of work and estimate development effortRefactoring and optimising existing codeReviewing the work of your team (via Code Reviews, Demos)Who do we look forWere looking for someone with working experience in both front end and back end web development, ideally spanning multiple languages and technologies.We also look for people with the right cultural fit.
