The CEO, Policy Director and Events Manager will work with them on service development and key relationship management.The Head of Membership will lead on creating services, engagement and retention of all classes of membership for one of the leading logistics membership body covering the UK.The core of the work will be ensuring the membership organisation is responsive to the needs of the market, making sure the organisation understands its members and ensuring that every member gets maximum value from participation in our activities and theuse our services.The role combines the need to continuously improve our longstanding core membership offer and to support the Chief Executive to conceive, build and deliver new initiatives that deliver on the organisation’s growth objectives.Key Responsibilities:Membership RetentionMembership RecruitmentPartnership DevelopmentMembership ServicesMarketing and Events (working in collaboration with the Marketing and Events Manager)EssentialDemonstrable understanding of the unique role, opportunity and value of effective trade associationsAt least 5 years in a professional membership management role and be able to demonstrate the development of membership services.Persuasive and empatheticAble to communicate comfortably and build relationships with people (across a range of roles and levels of seniority)Can work as part of a teamFull driving licence.Motivated and enthusiastic about our missionSelf-starter, able to think strategically and deliver the detailsEnjoys a small team dynamic (7 people total)Happy to travel and visit member sites around the UKDesirableWorked in a trade association, membership body or similar business organisationProject management experienceTo apply for this role of Head of Membershipplease send your CVDue to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
