Rail Sales Specialist - Structural Support SystemsJob Title: Rail Sales Specialist - Structural Support SystemsIndustry Sector: Rails Sales Specialist, Rail, Rail Sector, Shoring, Excavation Systems, Civil Engineering, Civils, Heavy Civil Engineering, Trench Systems, Shoring Solutions, Excavation Systems, Geotechnical, Formwork, Falsework, Structural Support Systems, Ancillaries, Piles, Trench Sheets, Box Systems, Bracing Systems, Piling, Struts, Technical Sales Solutions, Technical Sales, Field Sales, Rail Sales SpecialistArea to be covered: Midlands (ideally based Birmingham)Remuneration: £35,000 - £38,000 + commissions giving OTE circa £47,000 (potential £6,000 guarantee in year one) Benefits: company car OR circa £350 car allowance + comprehensive benefits packagesThe role of the Rail Sales Specialist - Structural Support Systems / Civil Engineering will involve:

  • Technical field sales position, predominantly responsible for hire and sales of bespoke engineered excavation support systems including shoring solutions, bracing struts, ancillaries, piles, trench sheets, box systems, bracing systems, concrete pipe equipment, tools and accessories in the rail market sector
  • All of your time will be focused on selling directly to rail framework contractors, rail contractors and tier 1 and 2 main contractors such as Vinci, Balfour Beatty, Bam Nuttall, Colas, Eiffage Kier, Volker and Skanska
  • Working on projects such as HS2
  • Inheriting a successful territory budgeted to turnover over £1m and on target
  • Dealing with order values ranging from £1k-£500k
  • Predominantly dealing with existing customers on a project by project basis utilising the exceptional design and engineering services of the company
    • The ideal applicant will be a Rail Sales Specialist - Structural Support Systems / Civil Engineering with:
  • Must have a proven track record in technical sales selling to rail framework contractors, rail contractors and tier 1 and 2 main contractors such as Vinci, Balfour Beatty, Bam Nuttal, Colas, Volker and Skanska
  • Would consider someone without rail experience with main contractors relationship selling a technical product
  • Ideally have experience selling products such as: shoring solutions, bracing struts, ancillaries, piles, trench sheets, box systems, bracing systems, concrete pipe equipment, tools and accessories, excavation support systems, formwork, falsework, geotechnical and heavyside civil engineering systems
  • Ideally have knowledge or contacts in the rail industry
  • Technically minded and able to understand drawings and deal with technical issues
  • On site experience and comfortable dealing with engineering teams and technical points of contact
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and assisting over colleagues with sales
  • Strong work ethic roll your sleeves up’ mentality
  • Keenness to learn companies products and systems
