Come and work with a great team, in a beautiful location.This is a fixed term contract until 1st November 2021.This is an annulised contract meaning you will work 247 hours over the 6 months which translates to working 2 days aweek including weekends. What its like to work hereThis rural workhouse was designed to house around 160 inmates. They lived and worked in a strictly segregated environment with virtually no contact between the old and infirm, able-bodies men and women and children. The stories of those who lived and worked here in the 1840s help bring the building to life and prompt reflection on how society has tackled poverty through the centuries.What youll be doing As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard toraise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust.Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuringthat you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day. As aWelcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome ourvisitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for therest of the day.You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making surevisitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how andwhy we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’llwork with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our causeand the on-going work we do.You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property,and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent,from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around theproperty.Please also read the full role profile attached to this advert.
