Job Description

Warehouse Operative – Immediate start – 8 weeks£13.84ph – 37.50 hours a week – weekly payImmediate requirements at this leading Scientific organisation for efficient and reliable Warehouse Operatives to facilitate the provision of stock supply to the laboratories.Duties:

  • Oversee stock management system within the 2 sites.
  • Receipt, pick, pack and storage of deliveries using handheld scanners.
  • Checking stock levels and availability using stock control software.
  • Ensure all items are stored under appropriate conditions.
  • Delivering and replenishing consumables stock into the relevant storage locations.
  • Attention to detail are essential to the processes performed as part of this role.
  • Lift and carry boxes within statutory regulation weights.
  • Provide helpful and professional service to service users and visitors.
Requirements
  • Previous warehouse or stock controller experience.
  • Experience within a warehouse, hospital or laboratory would be advantageous.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry items within statutory regulations.
  • Ability to work with computerised warehouse systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Pleasant, courteous and helpful.
  • Ability to follow procedures.
  • Reliable and motivated.
