Main Duties:
  • Undertaking regular supportive and reflective supervision with all supervisees.
  • Managing and supervising a cohort of social care practitioners which may include workers from different professional backgrounds.
  • To act as an expert practitioner within the service, by representing the profession, providing oversight, guidance and advice.
  • To ensure that safeguarding is a key priority and that effective systems and processes are in place for incidents of reported abuse.
  • To support members of the team and wider service with decision making and support clinical reasoning.
  • To undertake timely allocation of work and effectively manage waiting lists and risk.
  • To ensure that service provision provides value for money and meets the individual needs.
  • To promote, develop and sustain cohesive working relationships.
  • To oversee and quality assess the completion of assessments and development of support plans.
  • To use judgement and take action, to engage with individuals, families, carers to promote independence, provide support and prevent harm, neglect and abuse.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant frontline experience in Adults Services within the UK
