Job Description

Reporting to: Finance Manager and Head of FinanceOmnicom is an inter-connected global network of leading marketing communications companies. This is done through developing consistent,documented processes and procedures.An excellent level of organisational skills with great attention to detail is extremely important, as well as a flexible and outgoing attitude. You should be a self-starter and have the ability to deal with people at all levels. You should have a sense ofhumour and enjoy working, proactively, as part of the finance team.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:ReportingManagement reporting

  • Responsible for delivering monthly and quarterly management accounts for selected entities alongside the management reporting team, including review of supporting reconciliations and commentary and submission to group reporting system (Hyperion)
  • Ad-hoc reports and analysis for the entities in charge
  • Coordinating and dealing with intercompany group matching at month ends
  • Assisting with preparation of commentary on variance analysis and performance reportable to Omnicom, as required
  • Dealing with additional monthly/quarterly submissions including preparation and submission of a group quarterly tax pack and internal reporting requirements (IRPs)
  • Liaise with the network on accounting treatment and queries, as required
  • Dealing with working capital and capital expenditure submissions, as required
UK Statutory
  • Year-end consolidated financial statements preparation under UK GAAP, including reconciliation to US GAAP figures
  • Co-ordination of subsidiary statutory accounts preparation including review, where applicable
  • Assisting with interim and year-end statutory audits
Planning and Treasury
  • Responsible for monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgets for selected entities
  • Review of the upload and submission of the monthly Hyperion Reforecast from the agencies
  • Quarterly cash flow forecast submission as required
Tax and Compliance
  • Assisting with S-Box compliance including maintenance of relevant process documentation and performing S-Box testing
  • Responsible for submissions of various annual tax compliance questionnaires to the central tax team
  • Preparation of the year-end statutory tax package
  • Review and preparation of the annual and quarterly tax packs and supporting schedules
  • Liaising with central team on queries and ad-hoc requirements
Other duties
  • Acting as a point of contact for agencies as well as responding to financial inquiries from the parent company Omnicom by gathering, analysing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
  • Support the drive on efficiencies and processes improvements
  • Support in monitoring and enforcing financial policies, controls and procedures
  • Involvement in entities cross-charges as required
  • Ad hoc projects
Personal Specification and BehavioursExperience and skills
  • ACA/ CIMA / ACCA Qualified
  • Practice trained background, ideally Big4 or Top 20 trained
  • Will suit a qualified individual with up to 2 years of post-qualified experience who is first time mover out of practice
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience of Hyperion is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and AX or similar ERP system beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of working within the media & advertising Industry is not essential
