SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant + Additional trainingAre you a kind-hearted, driven graduate who is seeking a FULL academic years experience working with students with additional needsA friendly, modern Secondary school located in the borough of Southwark is seeking an innovative, dedicated, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position, commencing September 2022. The ideal candidate for the SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant role would be graduates with a keen interest in Mental Health, Therapy, Psychological Research, Education, Speech and Language, Special Needs and many more!Why is this SEN Teaching Assistant ideal for a recent graduate

  • Gain a full years experience in a Secondary school supporting children with SEN
  • Working alongside professionals such as Speech and Language therapists and SENCo.
  • Regular training alongside class teachers + additional support/ training for SEN

SEN Teaching Assistant - Job Description
  • Supporting students with a range of SEN (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc)
  • Using initiative to create new learning opportunities
  • Working across KS3/KS4/KS5
  • Working in small groups/ 1:1 setting to motivate pupil and make their learning exciting and accessible!
  • Liaise with classroom teacher and SENCo to ensure pupil progress
  • Located in Southwark
  • Long term, full-time position starting September 2022
  • £80 - £100 a day
SEN Teaching Assistant - Person Specification
  • 1st Class or 2:1 degree
  • Good understanding of SEN is desirable
  • Experience with children with SEN (personal or professional)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilient and open-minded
