Registered Manager, Ofsted.Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting alongside Southwark Council to hire a Registered Manager into a permanent, we are seeking candidates who have experience in working in residential settings that have been good or outstanding.Purpose of the JobTo be the registered manager for Orient Street Residential Respite Unit, incorporating:(1) 5 beds for adults (Registered with the Care Quality Commission); and(2) 5 beds for Children (Registered with Ofsted)To provide a short breaks service that achieves positive outcomes for service users and carers, facilitating maximum independence, dignity, choice and control, through person centred planning and support, and making sure the environment is tailored as much as possible to each individual’s needs.To ensure that the Unit maintains an acceptable Ofsted/CQC rating of Good’ or better and always meets CQC and Ofsted requirements through continuous improvement and quality assurance. Supporting the Head of Service with the development and continuous improvement of the overall service. To be innovative and proactive in identifying and implementing ways in which the Unit can improve.Principle Accountabilities 1. As registered manager for both CQC and Ofsted services, to maintain an up to date, in-depth and practical understanding of existing and pending legislation, relevant policies and standards in order to contribute fully and lead on the strategic direction of the service.2. To ensure timely submission of reports and notifications to CQC and Ofsted, and be responsible for the completion and oversight of relevant records to comply with Children’s Homes regulations.3. To ensure that children, young people, and adults have their needs met and the Unit meets the standards set in the Statement of Purpose; safeguarding service users and ensuring the provision of high standards of care practice and the achievement of defined quality standards for service delivery.4. To be responsible for the development and maintenance of care planning systems and systems for case recording in accordance with regulatory requirements; responding to complaints and investigating as appropriate.5.
