Job Description

Tempest Resourcing are working with a School in Southwark who are looking for a Facilities Management Assistant to join the team. The role is an evening and weekends position and the hours are as follows:Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 1pm - 10pmSaturday and Sunday: 8am - 5pmDuties include but aren’t limited to:

  • To be responsible for all aspects of the School’s facilities management and premises staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety and security of the School buildings and grounds at all times.
  • Ensure the standards of cleanliness are high
  • Open and/or close site
  • Report any problems or concerns to the Facilities Manager and keep a written record when necessary
  • Attend regular briefings / meetings with facilities staff
  • Observe Health and Safety rules and comply with procedures relating to Safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection and attend appropriate training
  • Carry out regular statutory testing of services, fire alarm, water management etc
  • To draw up maintenance schedules and set routine programmes of work for cleaning staff, premises and grounds maintenance staff to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, upkeep and safety of all school buildings and premises.
  • To be responsible for the upkeep of playing fields, gardens, all weather surfaces and to ensure the maintenance of boundaries, footpaths, roads and rights of way within the school premises.
  • To be responsible for the letting of the school premises to outside organisations and school staff, and for the development of all school facilities for out-of-school use ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
  • The salary for the position will be between £23,500 - £25,500 depending on your experience. A driving license is desirable for this position. The candidate must have a fully enhanced DBS. Required skills
